Kind und Jugend International Fair

We are so excited to once again exhibit at the International fair and hopefully reach new countries with Bizzi Growin 🙂

This will be our 5th year ( I think) at the show and we love it, its great to see all the new products being launched and meet all our lovely retailers (old and new)

The show is held in Cologne , a beautiful city which we love visiting year on year. Great for culture , the amazing DOM cathedral stands more or less in the centre of the city, we attended mass one year and the choir boys were breath taking. You could hear a pin drop!

Great for food and drinks, lovely bars and restaurants line the streets, our favourite is a little restaurant that serves the most amazing mussels 🙂 we alsways make a beeline for after the show

So if you ever looking to visit a olde worlde city then Cologne must definately be on your bucket list

So fingers crossed for next week, will update with photos when we are back and share with you our news

The importance of Vloggers and Bloggers

Blogging is critical for our business and the work we do in the background to keep parents informed of our products is vital.  Blogging offers an enhanced opportunity to build a relationship with our lovely customers and also helps understand what parents look for in a product, as well as to inform and facilitate a conversation.

We enjoy your comments it gives us a real insight into what parents look for when purchasing a product.

July has been a growth month where we have worked with more bloggers on social media, and also carried out vital market research.

So if you are a blogger please get in touch and hopefully we can spread the word of Bizzi Growin together 🙂

Online versus retail shopping

We did a very interesting survey on our face book recently trying to uncover the trends of shopping..

We like to think that shopping for your first pregnancy is a very special time where you browse collections and products from your local independent retailer who can spend time with you and guide you through the range of must haves.

But the response was overwhelming, most customers shop online for ease, top of the pile came Amazon!! followed by Argos and mothercare

So how many people still prefer the hands on approach, and spend time browsing and taking time to create their perfect nursery?

Please share your experiences 🙂

Travel easy with little one

Thats why our POD bag takes away some of the pain and allows you to travel lighter than ever before.

The extra large changing bag will fit pretty much all your babies clothing, plenty of room is 2 compartments with bottle holder, easy to carry with shoulder straps allowing both hands to be free.

Scorchio Heatwave and keeping baby happy !

We all love the sunshine but in these scorching temperatures its important to keep baby cool and happy. Below is a list taken from NHS website that will help 🙂

Sun safety

Keep your baby cool and protect them from the sun.

  • Babies less than 6 months old should be kept out of direct sunlight. Their skin contains too little melanin, which is the pigment that gives skin, hair and eyes their colour, and provides some protection from the sun.
  • Older infants should also be kept out of the sun as much as possible, particularly in the summer and between 11am and 3pm, when the sun is at its strongest. If you go out when it’s hot, attach a parasol or sunshade to your baby’s pushchair to keep them out of direct sunlight.
  • Apply a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 to your baby’s skin. Make sure the product also protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Many brands produce sunscreen specifically for babies and young children, as these products are less likely to contain additives that might irritate the skin. Apply the suncream regularly, particularly if your child is in and out of the sea or paddling pool.
  • Make sure your child wears a sunhat with a wide brim or a long flap at the back to protect their head and neck from the sun.

Avoid dehydration

Like adults, babies and young children need to drink plenty of fluids to avoid becoming dehydrated.

  • If you’re breastfeeding your baby, you don’t need to give them water as well as breast milk. But they may want to breastfeed more than usual.
  • If you’re bottle feeding, as well as their usual milk feeds, you can give your baby cooled boiled water throughout the day. If your baby wakes at night, they’ll probably want milk. If they have had their usual milk feeds, try cooled boiled water as well.

You can be creative when trying to keep your child hydrated. If they’re over 6 months old and get bored with water, try giving them a combination of very diluted fruit juice, ice cubes and homemade fruit juice lollies throughout the day. For older children, plenty of fruit and salad will also help keep their fluid levels up.

Keeping cool

Follow the tips below to help keep your children cool and safe during hot weather.

  • Playing in a paddling pool is a good way of keeping babies and children cool. Keep the pool in the shade during very hot weather and supervise the children carefully at all times.
  • Run them a cool bath before bedtime.
  • Keep your child’s bedroom cool during the day by closing blinds or curtains. You can also use a fan to circulate the air in the room.
  • Keep nightwear and bedclothes to a minimum. If your baby kicks or pushes off the covers during the night, consider putting them in just a nappy with a single well-secured sheet that won’t work loose and cover their face or get entangled during the night.
  • A nursery thermometer will help you monitor the temperature of your baby’s room. Your baby will sleep most comfortably when their room is between 16C (61F) and 20C (68F).

Introducing our Award winning bumper wraps

To win a coveted Health and Safety award for our bumper wraps was a massive surprise and a great accolade.

We love bumper wraps so much we decided to enter them into the Best Baby Gear and Toddler award.

The testing is very rigorous and of course is tested by babies and mums, so we were ecstatic that we had won Gold …..!!

So if you dont know anything about bumper wraps , then try them out, they come in a pack of 8, they simply wrap around the bars of your cot or cot bed and fasten with velcro and voila!

Not only do they look fab in the cot and really bring it to life they protect little one from bumps on the bars, allow airflow to pass through the bars , and heres the kicker… they are less expensive than a traditional bumper.

So go on take a look at the bumper bar collection, you will be converted 🙂
